The PowerMac G5 computer is a solution that was born with great problems. Problems with processors, change of supplier, new design, first 64 bit processor. And yet it has become a breakthrough design that most users love.

However, the warmest reception was greeted by the new aluminum housing. It was distinguished not only by its perfect, simple design, but most of all by its excellent functionality. It was such a successful design that the successor of the PowerMac G5 – the Mac Pro, was produced in an unchanged external form for the next 7 years.
